中山七里 「七色の毒」
今回は二冊並行読みにしてみました。前の「護られなかった者たちへ」と一緒に読んでいました。
これはミステリー短編集になります。
最初と最後の章だけつながっていますが基本はそれぞれ別の話になっています。全体を通して「人間の悪意」をテーマにして書かれています。
一つ一つが軽く出来ていたので通勤と昼休みでちょっと読んで止めることができ、ミステリーとしてもコンパクトながらもちゃんとまとまっているので物足りないとは感じませんでした。
読んでいて気になったのは第三章の作家の話。
それによると作家を目指そうとする人が最近とても増えているそうです。その理由は「自分には特別な才能がある」と思いたい人の逃避先として非常に都合が良いからとのこと。家に閉じこもる口実になり、なおかつ作品が認められないのを世間のせいに出来るので失敗しても自分が傷つかないところが、プライドは高いけど能力が低くて人生が上手くいかなかった人にうってつけです。
「普通は嫌だ」とか「平凡な人間＝生きている意味がない」という風潮が強すぎるせいでしょうか。
また書く側だけでなく出版側の姿勢も昔とは変わっているようです。
本書にも書かれていましたが小説に贈られる賞というのは近頃ビジネス的で誰が賞を取ると話題になるかで決まる傾向が高くなっています。読む側からすると本当に良い作品かかなり胡散臭くなっているということです。
私はよく「このミステリーがすごい！」の作品を読んでいるのですが、ここ数年はあてにならなくなっているように見えます。
去年1位だった竹本健治の「涙香迷宮」は私の読んだ中で最悪のミステリー小説でした。
私は並行読むできない人だったのですが、長編と短編集なら出来ることが分かって満足しています。

This will be a mystery short story collection. Only the first and last chapters are connected, but the basic is different story. Throughout the theme is written with the theme of "human malice".
Since it was lightly made one by one, I can stop reading for a while with commuting and lunch break. Although it is compact as a mystery, but it is gathered properly, I did not feel it is unsatisfactory.

The reason is that it is very convenient as the escape destination for those who want to think that "I have a special talent". It is an excuse to shut up at home. And it can blame the world that works are not accepted, so they will not hurt even if I fail. It's perfect for people who have high pride but poor ability and lost their lives.
Is it likely that the tendency of "disgusting ordinary" or "ordinary human being = not meaning alive" is too strong?
Moreover, not only the writing side but also the posture of the publishing side seems to have changed from the old days.
Although it was also written in this book, the award given to the novel is recently business, and the tendency to decide it is decided by who will take a prize to become a topic.
From the reading side it means that it is a really good novel or it is becoming quite whitish.
I often read the novel "This mystery is amazing!", But it looks like it has become unreliable for the past few years.
"Ruikou Labyrinth" written by Kenji Takemoto which ranked first in last year was the worst mystery novel I read.
I could not read concurrently, but I am satisfied that I know what I can do if I am feature length and short editing.
