主人公は検察事務官の女性。自身の父親を殺害した罪で刑務所にいた男性が獄中で自殺していたことを知る。また獄中からの手紙で自分が免罪であることを訴えており、彼の弁護士もそのことを主張していた。あるとき彼の弁護士が殺害され、現場から当時彼に自白させた先輩の検事が逃走するところが監視カメラに写っていた。事件の真相を探るというお話。
オーソドックスなミステリー小説となります。随所に多くの伏線が張られていて、それを上手く見つけ出して推理していくという流れです。事件の犯人が誰なのかを探るというよりも事件の正体を暴くことがメインのミステリーになります。犯人そのものは早い段階で分かってしまいます。
上手くまとまったミステリーなのですが、普通過ぎて他に印象的な何かがあるわけではありませんでした。
純粋に推理小説が読みたくなった時にはおススメです。

This is an orthodox mystery novel. There are many foreshadows everywhere, and it is a flow of finding and deducing them well. The main mystery is to uncover the true nature of the incident rather than to find out who is the perpetrator of the incident. The culprit is known at an early stage.
It's a well-organized mystery, but there wasn't anything that was so ordinary and impressive.
It is recommended when you want to read a detective novel purely
