秋吉理香子 「放課後に死者は戻る」
秋吉さんの作品で評価高めなのを選んでみました。
主人公は高校生の少年。誰かからの手紙で呼び出され、崖から落とされてしまう。目が覚めてみるとそのとき一緒に落ちてしまった別の少年と体が入れ替わってしまっていた。自分を殺した犯人を捜すために元にいた学校に転校して学生生活を送り始める。元の自分と同じことをしても容姿が違うだけで周囲の反応が違うことに戸惑いながら犯人探しをするというお話。
かなり軽めに作られたミステリー小説です。
読んでみると主人公の心理描写がメインになる作品に思えました。さえない容姿だった頃と同じことしているのに、入れ替わって美形になっただけで周囲の反応が変わることへの納得のいかなさはうまく描かれていました。
ミステリーはそんなに重要な部分ではないので面白くするために添えてある程度という認識でOKです。
作中では容姿についてのことが書かれています。
「容姿が良いだけで何をしても受けいれられるのか」については色々なところに描かれていました。私の考えでは物事の良い悪いは容姿では決まらないと思っています。あの人は容姿が優れているから許された、という場面に遭遇したことがないです。ダメなことは誰がやってもダメなものです。
ただ、容姿が良いと何をしても目立つので目に付く回数は増えていくと思います。それを本人が周りを気にしなくてはいけない苦と思うか、注目されて嬉しいと思うかは嗜好の問題でしょう。
また作中では「人を顔で判断してよいのか」という問いかけもされていました。
ある人の顔を見たときに「自分と合う人」かは判別が難しいですが「自分と合わない人」は顔を見たときの感覚がかなりアテになると私は考えてます。完全に私の経験則になってしまいますが所謂「生理的に受け付けない顔」の人と反りが合ったことは一度もありません。これのことを「顔を通して相手の魂を見ている」と私は勝手に解釈しているのですが、こういう感覚は馬鹿になりません。
とてもライトな仕上がりの作品ですので、サクッと読みたいときにおススメです。
Rikako Akiyoshi "The dead return after school"
I chose to select a higher rating for Akiyoshi's nobel.
The main character is a high school boy. He is called by a letter from someone and dropped from the cliff. When he woke up, he changed body with another boy who had fallen together at that time. In order to search for the culprit who killed himself, he transferred to his former school and started sending student life. Even if he does the same thing as the original himself, he was confused that the reaction of the surroundings was different only by the appearance.
This is a mystery novel made quite light in appearance. When I read this, it seemed to be the work where the psychological depiction of the protagonist is the main. She wrote well that it is the same thing as the time when it was ugly appearance, but the reaction of the surroundings changes only by being replaced and becoming beautiful.
Mystery is not so important part, so it is OK with the recognition that it is added to make it interesting.
In the work is written about the appearance well.
"Who can just accept what you look just good" was drawn in various places. In my opinion, I think that good and bad things are not decided by appearance. I have never encountered a scene where he/she was allowed to do it because his/her appearance was good.
However, I think that the number of times you can see it will increase as you look good no matter what your appearance. It may be a matter of preference if you feel that you have to worry about it or if you are happy to be noticed.
In addition, during the work, there was a problem that "may we judge people by face?"
It is difficult to determine if a person's face is "The person who agrees with me", but I think
"The person who does not agree with me" becomes quite attentive when it sees the face. It becomes completely my rule of thumb, but there has never been a warp with a so-called "physiologically unacceptable face" person. I interpret this as "seeing the other's soul through the face", this can not be neglected.
It is a very light work, so I recommend it when you want to read it easily.
