深木章子 「鬼畜の家」
深木さんの作品の中で評価が高めの作品を選んでみました。
主人公は私立探偵。依頼人から母と兄の事故死が自殺なのではと疑われて保険金が支払われないと調査を依頼される。
亡くなった家族の関係者に聞き込みをしているうちに、死亡した母が保険金や遺産を目当てに偽装や殺人を繰り返している可能性が浮かび上がってきた。鬼畜と呼ばれた母の事故の真相を探るというお話。
リアル路線のホラーミステリーとなっています。
人間の持つ願望、欲望に駆られて数々の非道な行いを平気で行う恐ろしさを描いています。
描いているのは良いのですが、話がすべて取り調べ形式で進んでいるためか怖さがあまり伝わってきませんでした。
鬼畜としてメインに取り上げられている人物がすでに死亡していて、それを周囲から見ていた人が話しているだけなのでイマイチ入り込めませんでした。評価が高かったのでイヤミス的なものを期待していたのですが、ホラーとミステリーがどっちつかずになっていてパッとしない作品になっています。
作中ではお金目当ての鬼畜な所業が多く描かれています。
そのどれもが最初のきっかけは男性が女性の誘惑に負けて既成事実を作ってしまうところから始まっていました。女性が男性の弱み握るには性欲につけ入るのが一番手っ取り早いということです。この手法というのはそれこそ数百年前の古来からあるのに、未だに減ってる気配がないのがすごい。このあたりに関しては歴史に学んで改善や進歩しよう、という気がないようですね。
これで深木さんの作品をいくつか読んだことになるのですが、私には少々合わない作家さんになってしまいそうです。
つまらないという訳ではないのですが、どれも作品に深みを感じられないという印象でした。
Miki Akiko "Devil's house"
I tried picking a novel with a high rating among Mr. Miki's novel.
The leading character is a private detective. He is asked to investigate that mother and brother's death is suicide and suspected insurance payment is not paid. While listening to concerned parties of the deceased family, the possibility that the deceased mother repeatedly disguised or murdered for insurance money and heritage was found out. A story of exploring the truth of the accident of a mother called demon.
Desiring human beings, depicting the fear of being driven by desire and being able to do numerous outrageous works in peace. But because all the stories are progressing in an interrogation form, fear has not been transmitted much. The person who is taken up as the main devil is dead already, only people talking about it from the surroundings are talking.
This is insufficient power. Both horror and mystery are halfway novel.
Many devilish jobs of money worth seeing are drawn in the novel.
Everything started from the point where men lose the temptation of women and make sexual relationships as the first trigger. It is most efficient to use libido to make women take advantage of men's weaknesses. Although this method has been around since hundreds of years ago, it is surprising that there is no indication that it is still decreasing.
It seems like I do not feel like studying history, learning about improvement.
I will have read some of Miki's works, but it seems that I will become a writer who does not suit a bit.
Although it is not that it is boring, it is impression that none of the works can feel deepness in the novel.
