中山七里 "連続殺人鬼カエル男ふたたび"
カエル男の続編を買ってきました。気になってはいたけど後回しだったんですよね。
「カエル男連続殺人事件」から月日が経った後の話。事件を担当した精神科医が自宅にて体ごと爆破されて死亡する。現場にはかつての事件と同じ稚拙な声明文が残されており、被害者の頭文字が前の事件の最後の被害者から五十音順続きとなっていた。
かつて多くの国民を恐怖に陥れた事件が再び起きる、というお話。
まずは 「連続殺人鬼 カエル男」を読みましょう。
前作からの完全な続きになっていて、本作の中ではそこまで説明がないので前作の登場人物を把握しておかないと楽しめません。
完全な続き物は「続編でイマイチになってたらどうしよう・・・」という不安に駆られるのですが、これはちゃんと楽しめる続編でした。ミステリー面では実のところ終盤以外は大きな驚きが用意されていません。むしろ精神喪失者についての心理描写面が多く描かれています。ミステリーの部分は話を盛り上げる要素の一つだと思って読むのが良いです。
なお前作同様、殺害方法がえぐいので想像力豊かな方は読むとき注意しましょう。
今回のテーマは「精神喪失者の扱い」になっています。前作は世間から見て、が主眼でしたが今回は病棟や刑務所に収容された精神喪失者がどう扱われているか、という点に焦点が当てられています。身体と違って「回復」や「復調」が判断しづらいため収容した人がどうなったら釈放していいのかが分からないそうです。その結果、半永久的に収容することを考えなくてはならないため、施設は常に人手、予算不足なんだそうです。その反面、予算はすべて税金なので犯罪者に多額のお金を使うと国民から非難されるのは目に見えています。こうなると「収容しきれないなら死刑にして減らせばいいじゃん、犯罪者だし」という意見が強くなるのも、残念ですが一理あります。
本書では精神喪失者の裁判について書かれている場面があります。
それによると重犯罪者が無罪を勝ち取る手段は精神喪失を頼る以外ないそうです。これを読んでいて、裁判はスポーツと似てるなと思いました。ルール(法律)上は問題なくとも周囲からバッシングされるプレーや作戦はどのスポーツにもあります。この前のワールドカップで日本チームのしたこともそうでしたね。必要なのはバッシング覚悟で勝ちを取りに行きたいかどうかです。これをやらないと一生後悔するというのであれば、一生恨まれてでも卑劣な手段を取るのは私は間違っていないと思います。

I bought a sequel of "Serial killer Flog man".
A story after the date passed from "frog male serial murder case". A psychiatrist who was in charge of the incident will be bomb blasted at home and died. On the work site the same childish statement as the former incident was left, and the initials of the victims were in alphabetical order from the last victim of the previous case. A case that frightened many citizens once will happen again.
First, let's read "Serial killer Flog man".
It is a complete continuation from the previous novel. So, you can not enjoy it unless I grasp the character of the previous novel. The complete thing is driven by the anxiety that "What would you do if you were not good at the sequel". This was a sequelable sequel.
No big surprise is prepared except for the final stage in the mystery aspect. Rather, many psychological descriptions about mentally losers are drawn. It is good to read and think that the part of the mystery is one of the elements that make up the talk.
This theme is "treatment of mentally lost person". It focuses on how mental losses housed in wards and prisons are treated. Unlike the body it is difficult to judge "recovery" or "demodulation”, so it seems I do not know how to release the housed people. As a result, it seems that the facility is always man powering and budget shortage because we have to think about accommodating it semi-permanently. On the other hand, since all budgets are taxes, it is clear that citizens will accuse the criminals of tremendous money.

If you cannot accommodate it, you can reduce it by death penalty, because it is a criminal".
There are scenes written about trials of mentally lost persons in this book。
According to it, it seems that the means by which a serious criminal wins innocence is not dependent on mental loss. I was reading this, and I felt that the trial would be similar to sports.
Regardless of the rules (law) there are plays and strategies that are bashed from the surroundings in any sports without problems. It was the same thing that the Japanese team did in the previous World Cup.
All you need is whether you want to win even if you are bashing.
If you do not do this and regret your life forever, I think that it is not wrong to take disapproval measures even if I have a grudge against your life.
