米澤穂信 「王とサーカス」
2015年No1ミステリ!という売り文句に惹かれて買ってみました。
主人公は女性雑誌記者。ネパールで海外旅行特集の取材をしていたところ、国王とその一族が殺害される騒動が起きる。記者として事件の取材をはじめ、事件の時の国王の警備をしていた軍人と話をするチャンスが訪れるが何も聞き出せなかった。
その翌朝にその軍人が殺害される。自分が探ったせいで彼は殺されてしまったのか？王宮で起きた事件と彼の殺害の真相を追うというお話。
以前読んだ「さよなら妖精」に出てきた人物が主人公でした。ユーゴスラヴィアの友人の話ってどこかで読んだような・・・とおもったらそれでした。書評書いてるおかげかちゃんと思い出せました。
ミステリーとしてとてもよく出来ています。謎の数が少ない上に登場人物も多くないので犯人推理という点では難しくないですが、動機づけがかなり難しいです。完全に推理しきるにはネパールのお国柄を理解していないと厳しいという印象でした。
ミステリー以外の点だとネパールってどういう国なのか？を多く書いてくれています。どういう国で、人々はどういう考え方をしているのか、は読んでいてためになりました。
鋭い人が読めば本書で紹介されている部分だけでもしかしたら推理しきることが出来るかもしれません。
この主人公が出てくるシリーズものとして続いているようなので、気が向いたらシリーズを読み進めても面白い気がします。

I was attracted to the complaint "No.1 Mystery in 2015" and tried buying this.
The main character is a female journal reporter. She was interviewing overseas travel special in Nepal, A disturbance occurs when the king and his family are killed. She started interviewing the case as a reporter, she got a chance to speak with a soldier who was guarding the king at the time of the incident, but I could not hear anything from him. The next morning, he will be murdered. Has he been killed because she searched the affair?
A story that follows the truth of the incident in the royal palace and his murder.
The person who appeared in "Goodbye fairy" that I read earlier was the hero. I have read a book from Yugoslavia's friends. Thanks for writing reviews I remembered properly.
This is done very well as a mystery. There are few mysteries and few characters, so it is not difficult in terms of criminal reasoning. But it is quite difficult to infer motivation. It is difficult if you do not understand the country character of Nepal in order to fully deduce. He writes a lot what kind of country is Nepal.
I read what I am thinking about in what country people are thinking and learned.
If a good intuition person reads it may possibly be able to hunt down the motive just by the part that is introduced in this book.
This book is the series that this main character comes up. I think that it's interesting to read the series.
