東野圭吾 「マスカレード・ナイト」
読もう読もうと思いつつも後回しになってました。
ある女性が殺害される事件が起きていた。遺体を発見する発端となったのが匿名通報窓口だったこともあり、通報者は犯行にかかわっているのではと警察が捜査していた。その後警視庁に東京のホテルのカウントダウンパーティー「マスカレード・ナイト」に犯人があらわれるという密告状が届く。以前の事件でホテルマンに扮したことのある主人公が抜擢され、再びホテルマンに化けることとなる。
密告通りに犯人は現れるのか？密告者の意図は何なのかを探るというお話。
東野圭吾作品はやはり面白いです。今作は心理面の描写が前作よりも増えていて、なかなかにリアルに描かれています。
それと他の作品読んでから東野圭吾に戻ってくると文章の分かりやすさでは格が違います。
今までの話とキャラ色の違う登場人物が一気に増えたのと、主人公と女性ホテルコンサルタントの絡みが増えたのを見るに、ドラマ化を意識しているのかな？という感触がありました。
今回の話は不倫、浮気に関する話が多く描かれていました。
ホテル側からすると不倫の密会として利用する客はお金を落とす上客だそうです。彼らはなるべく人目に触れないようにするために食事も部屋ですることが多く、ルームサービスなどでかなりお金を落としていくんだとか。
不倫は当事者たちの欲望を満たすこと以外は百害あって一利なしだと思っていましたが、プラスになる人たちがいると初めて知りました。
他にも不倫する男女双方の心情など、いろいろと面白いことが書かれていました。私の会社でもそれっぽい人たちがいるので、こんな気持ちで楽しんでるんだなと、知見が広がりました。
このシリーズも結構気に入って読んでます。とにかく分かりやすいので誰が読んでもきっと楽しめます。
杉村シリーズみたいに方向転換してつまらないシリーズになったりしないかだけがちょっと心配です。
Keigo Higashino "Masquerade Night"
I thought about reading this, but I was postponed.
There was a case where a woman was killed. It was the anonymous reporting desk that became the beginning to discover the remains, so policemen were investigating the whistleblower as being involved in the crime. Then the Metropolitan Government arrives in Tokyo's countdown party "Masquerade Night" a criminal notice that a criminal will appear.
The main character who had dressed as a hotel man in the previous case will be selected and will become a hotel man again.
Do the culprits appear as stated? The story of exploring what the innocent intends are.
Keigo Higashino novels are still interesting. In this novel, the depiction of the psychological aspect is increasing more than the previous work, and it is drawn quite realistically. When you return to Keigo Higashi after reading it and other works, the case is different in the clarity of the sentence.
The characters with different characters increase, and the entanglement of the main character and female hotel consultant increase. I think that they are conscious of TV Drama.
A lot of stories about affair and cheating were drawn in this story.
From the hotel side, it seems that customers who use it as an adultery of infidelity are superior customers who drop money.
They often eat meals in the room so that they cannot be noticed as much as possible, and they considerably reduce their money with room service etc.
I thought that adultery was hundreds more harmful than satisfying the desires of the parties, but I thought that there was no favor, but I first realized that there are people who will be positive.
Other interesting things were written, including the feelings of both men and women who are infatuated. Even at our company there are people like that, so knowledge has expanded as I am enjoying with such feelings.
I also like this series and it reads a lot. Anyway, it's easy to understand so you can surely enjoy it no matter who reads it.
I am a little worried about whether I will change the direction like a Sugimura series and become a boring series.
