村上春樹 「女のいない男たち」
この短編集なら村上春樹苦手でも読めるよ、と言われて買ってみました。
離婚、死別、独身貴族など様々な背景で愛する女性を持たない男性たち6人のエピソードを描いています。
村上春樹が苦手な理由にメルヘンが多くて状況が想像できない、があったのですがこの作品はメルヘン部分がかなり少ない。
その一方で各話の主人公の心理描写がかなりうまく描かれています。これほど綺麗に描けるのだったら毎作品こうしてくれればいいのに、なんて思ってしまいました。
村上春樹っぽさがあるところとしてはどの話も結末がちゃんと書いていません。ですが他の作品よりも流れからその後が想像しやすくなっているので、むしろ良い部分だと思います。
6つの中では話が一番面白いのは「ドライブ・マイ・カー」でした。
話の流れと終わり方が一番綺麗です。
一方で話に一番共感できたのが「独立器官」でした。
女性は嘘をつくための独立器官をもっていて、大事な場面で誰にも悟られずに嘘がつけると書かれていました。
男性だと大きな勇気が必要な嘘でも女性はこれのおかげで意識とは切り離して自然と嘘がつけるという考えでした。
これは合ってそうな気がします。嘘の付き合いで男性が女性に勝とうと思うのが間違いだと私は思っています。
作品の面白さと苦手な村上春樹を読めた感動でいい時間を過ごせました。
短編集だけ読んでいってみようかな。
Haruki Murakami "Men without women"
I was said "You can read this short collection even if you are not good at Haruki Murakami's novel", and read this.
He writes six episodes about men who don't have a loved woman because of divorcement, bereavement, aristocratic bachelor.
The reason why I am not good his novel is that there are a lot of fairy tales and I cannot imagine the situation. But this novel has very few fairy tale parts.
On the other hand, the psychological description of the hero of each story is drawn quite well. He can draw beautifully in this way, so I think he should write every novel like this.
It is his appearance that he doesn’t write clearly the close of every story. I think that it is rather a good part because it is easier to imagine the rest from the flow.
Among the six stories, the most interesting thing was "Drive My Car".
The flow of talk and the way to finish are the most beautiful.
On the other hand, it was "Independent Organ" that I was most able to sympathize with the story.
He writes that women have independent organs to tell lies. So, she can lie in important scenes without being noticed by anyone.
Even so it is scene that requires great courage for men, women can tell a lie without a thought.
I think this is true. It is wrong that a man wants to win a woman in befooling.
I enjoyed a fun of the work and a sensation that I could read his novel despite being weak.
